Located in the city of Zhuhai in Guangdong Province, the motor racing circuit was the first permanent motor racing facility in China. Consisting of 14 turns travelling in a clock-wise direction, the track was completed in 1996.

In 2011 Mtrack was engaged to undertake design modifications to sections of the existing track, This included modifications to the track profile, revising track distance and speed profiles and addressing changes to the track drainage system.

Mtrack was well placed to undertake this work, with Michael McDonough having lead the design and construction management of the circuit through the mid 1990’s.
